Dustbin-lid-sized blooms up to 50cm (20") in diameter! Ideal for wildlife food and great for back of border. Height 3.5m (12'). HA - Hardy annual.

Easy to grow and a real favourite with children. Flowers like very large daisies with brightly coloured petals. Pollen-free varieties are ideal for hayfever sufferers and for cutting. Use petals and seeds in salads and cakes.

Sow under glass March-April and outdoors April-June for flowers July-September.

Sowing Information

Sow the seed thinly 13mm (( 1?2") deep direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the plants are to flower. Germination usually takes 10-15 days. As the seedlings develop, thin them out gradually to achieve a final spacing of 30cm (12"). For early flowering sow in trays indoors in Feb-Mar, transfer into 9cm pots, grow on then acclimatise before planting outside where the plants are to flower, once the risk of frosts have disappeared.
